Topaz – a mineral of the silicate cluster, widespread in many areas of the world.The name comes from the Greek topázios (to seek) and refers to the orange-gold color and brilliance of the precious varieties of this mineral. It forms columnar, almost isometric crystals, also barrel-shaped. It occurs in clustered, granular columnar and rod-shaped clusters. It is brittle and transparent, characterized by a great variety of colors. It is a very hard, heavy and rare mineral.
