Lapis lazuli “A” – high quality stones that have been selected for color and purity.
Lapis lazuli – a metamorphic rock, the name of which comes from the word “lazhard” meaning blue. Lapis has been used as an ornamental stone since ancient times, and was a symbol of power. Mixed with wax and oil lazurite was used as a dye. Its distinguishing features are inclusions of pyrite.
