    Thulite – color

Thulite stones mainly occur in shades of pink and red. This beautiful color is due to the presence of manganese impurities in its structure; the more impurities there are, the more intense and deep the color becomes. Some specimens may contain inclusions of white calcite and quartz, introducing colors such as gray, black, and white into the stone’s structure. Thulite stones may have patterns or veins on their surface, increasing their visual appeal. Natural thulite, due to its color, is sometimes mistaken for rhodonite, pink quartz, rhodochrosite, and pink tourmaline. Thulite is characterized by a white streak.

    Thulite – application

Due to its rare occurrence, thulite is a sought-after collector’s stone. Considering its attractive appearance, it is a valuable ornamental stone used in various decorative items such as sculptures or vases. In ancient times, it was used to create amulets and talismans as well. Interestingly, it is the national stone of Norway. However, it is primarily used in jewelry production, such as earrings, rings, or necklaces. To showcase the stone’s surface to its best effect, it is often given a cabochon cut. In our offer, you will find thulite cabochons in various sizes.
